Our Practice Philosophy
The primary focus of everything we do at Mosinee Smiles will always be providing specialized patient care. Our staff will never put any pressure on you to have a service or operation, and we always endeavour to ensure that patients are fully informed of all of their treatment options. We’ll do everything we can to protect your natural teeth wherever possible. We will treat you like a part of our family from the moment you walk into our office, and we would never provide care or advise that we wouldn’t provide to our own families. In every situation, we make an effort to inform patients about everything we do, from procedures to billing, because we believe that dental decisions should be honest and unambiguous. Our professional staff and I believe that dentistry should be pain-free.
Our Team
Meet Our Staff
Bernadette – Dental Hygienist
Bernadette, one of our talented dental hygienists, grew up in a tradition of dental care. Being the daughter of our dentist, Dr. Knoedler, gave her a sense of what working in this field is all about, and she has enjoyed carrying on this family legacy in Mosinee. Bernadette was actually born in Rota, Spain, as her father was stationed at that U.S. naval base during the time. After moving back to Mosinee, she graduated from Mosinee High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Minnesota. Bernadette has served our patients since 2005, and her flexibility of schedule has allowed her to work different times each week depending on the office needs. Some of the things she enjoys best about being a hygienist are helping patients find confidence in their oral health and become proud of how they feel when they smile. She particularly enjoys working in and serving our Mosinee community because patients become friends in a smaller community. Outside of work, Bernadette enjoys reading, spending time on the lake, and being a basketball coach.
Roxanne – Dental Hygienist
Roxanne is a native of Wausau. She had her first inkling of wanting to enter the dental profession at the age of about ten, when she began going to a new dental office that felt modern, happy, and calm. After graduating high school, she earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Northcental Technical College. She joined our Mosinee team in 1997 and had an immediate positive impact. Roxanne is a true people person, and she’s very good at sensing patients’ needs and helping them to feel comfortable. She loves working with patients of all ages, and she especially enjoys working with the elderly. She loves that our office is in the process of making updates to services and technology, and she’s excited about the growth we’re seeing. When she’s not at work, Roxanne loves to spend time with her husband and their adult son and daughter. Some of her favorite hobbies include vegetable and flower gardening, taking care of her pets, feeding birds, camping, cooking, and baking. She also enjoys sewing and making jewelry. She can often be found outside, taking in the beauty of the Mosinee area.
Robyn – Dental Hygienist
Robyn was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school and later earning her Dental Assisting certification from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, she moved to central Wisconsin in 2012. What drew Robyn to the dental field was her experience as a child having poor oral health: she wanted to become part of the dental profession to help educate others—especially children—on the importance of oral health. She believes if people are educated on the connection between oral health and overall health, as well as the proper tools, techniques, and products of dental hygiene, they will find a much more positive and healthy lifestyle. Robyn brings a welcoming attitude and great communication skills, along with over five years of dental experience in multiple roles. What she likes most about working at Mosinee Smiles is the friendly atmosphere and being part of a great office that offers outstanding care to our area. Outside of work and school, Robyn loves spending time with her husband and two young boys, along with their three dogs. Two of her favorite activities are camping and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers. She also enjoys photography and spending time with family outdoors.
Savannah – Dental & Administrative Assistant
Savannah is originally from Stratford, Wisconsin. She was drawn to the dental field after being an orthodontic patient. She loved experiencing the transformation of her smile, and she now loves to watch that same kind of transformation in our patients. When it comes to her philosophy of care, she strives to improve the quality of life and health in patients, to educate them on dental health, and to establish long-term relationships built on trust. Her versatility and preparedness for whatever situations arise are parts of what make Savannah such a great asset to our office. She’s excited to be serving the Mosinee community, and she looks forward to our continued growth. Apart from her work, Savannah enjoys hunting, fishing, and running. She also has a real fondness for coffee: her perfect and best days start and end with iced coffee.
Amy – Dental Assistant
Amy is one of our talented dental assistants. She joined our Mosinee Smiles team in early 2024. Born and raised in Phillips, Wisconsin, she graduated from Phillips High School and later graduated from Northcentral Technical College’s Dental Assistant program. She always enjoyed going to the dentist as a child and appreciated how kind everyone was. She was scared when she was having her wisdom teeth removed in high school, but her dental assistant calmed her fears and inspired her to want to be that person for others. Interestingly, two of her aunts used to be dental assistants. Amy always provides patients with non-judgmental care that is uniquely tailored to each situation and each patient’s needs. She enjoys working to create a fun atmosphere in our office so both staff and patients can be relaxed and happy. What she enjoys most about working in our office is being part of a team that is kind and friendly, and she loves being a part of the Mosinee community. When she isn’t helping our patients and team, Amy enjoys fishing/bowfishing, playing tennis, painting, eating sushi, and spending time outside, especially in the beautiful summer months.
Trisha – Dental Assistant
Trisha joined our team in the spring of 2024 and had an immediate positive impact on our office. Originally from Plover, Wisconsin, she went on to attend college after graduating from high school and later entered the dental field. What led her to this profession is the fact that her best friend’s father was a dentist; while her friend was working in his office, Trisha was invited to work there too. When it comes to her approach to dental care and good oral health, she is always encouraging patients to brush and floss the teeth they want to keep. In addition to her experience and skill with assisting, she brings to our team a very positive manner and willingness to help our team in whatever way she can. Her favorite things about working here at Mosinee Smiles are our patients and her co-workers. Outside of the office, Trisha enjoys hiking, golfing, swimming, and crafting.
