Our Practice Philosophy
The primary focus of everything we do at Mosinee Smiles will always be providing personalized patient care. Our staff will never put any pressure on you to have a service or operation, and we always endeavor to ensure that patients are fully informed of all of their treatment options. We’ll do everything we can to protect your natural teeth wherever possible. We will treat you like a part of our family from the moment you walk into our office, and we will never provide care or advice that we wouldn’t provide to our own families. In every situation, we make an effort to inform patients about everything we do, from procedures to billing, because we believe that dental decisions should be honest and unambiguous.

Meet Our Dentists

Kevin McEwen, DDS
Dr. Kevin McEwen is originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin. He earned his DDS at the University of Minnesota in 1995, and he also attended Valparaiso University. He joined our Mosinee Smiles team in January of 2025. There were many reasons that led him to seek a career in dentistry, including a desire to work in the medical field, the ability to help others, and the job security this specific profession affords. When it comes to overall philosophy of dental care, Dr. McEwen adheres to the “Golden Rule” of treatment planning, offering patients their best options, and always being honest and transparent through every stage. In addition to his years of experience, he brings to our office a personable, honest, and friendly approach to care. His patient communication is down to earth, and he understands the importance of building rapport with everyone who sits in his chair. He’s excited to be a part of the Mosinee community and of helping build our practice.

George Knoedler, DDS
Dr. George Knoedler has been a fixture of Mosinee dentistry for over three decades. Meet Our Staff

Roxanne – Dental Hygienist
Roxanne is a native of Wausau. She had her first inkling of wanting to enter the dental profession at the age of about ten, when she began going to a new dental office that felt modern, happy, and calm. After graduating high school, she earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Northcental Technical College. She joined our Mosinee team in 1997 and had an immediate positive impact. Roxanne is a true people person, and she’s very good at sensing patients’ needs and helping them to feel comfortable. She loves working with patients of all ages, and she especially enjoys working with the elderly. She loves that our office is in the process of making updates to services and technology, and she’s excited about the growth we’re seeing. When she’s not at work, Roxanne loves to spend time with her husband and their adult son and daughter. Some of her favorite hobbies include vegetable and flower gardening, taking care of her pets, feeding birds, camping, cooking, and baking. She also enjoys sewing and making jewelry. She can often be found outside, taking in the beauty of the Mosinee area.

Robyn – Dental Hygienist
Robyn was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school and later earning her Dental Assisting certification from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, she moved to central Wisconsin in 2012. What drew Robyn to the dental field was her experience as a child having poor oral health: she wanted to become part of the dental profession to help educate others—especially children—on the importance of oral health. She believes if people are educated on the connection between oral health and overall health, as well as the proper tools, techniques, and products of dental hygiene, they will find a much more positive and healthy lifestyle. Robyn brings a welcoming attitude and great communication skills, along with over five years of dental experience in multiple roles. What she likes most about working at Mosinee Smiles is the friendly atmosphere and being part of a great office that offers outstanding care to our area. Outside of work and school, Robyn loves spending time with her husband and two young boys, along with their three dogs. Two of her favorite activities are camping and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers. She also enjoys photography and spending time with family outdoors.

Kathy – Dental Hygienist
Kathy is a native of Marathon City, and she currently resides just outside of the town. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene at Northcentral Technical College. Her dental hygiene career began with Dr. George Knoedler almost 40 years ago. After 13 years working with Dr. George, Kathy’s husband’s career took her to Wisconsin Rapids. Her career has taken a full circle, and she is thrilled to be back working in Mosinee, where it feels like home. Kathy loves her job and will always greet you with a smile. She strives to make each patient’s visit comfortable, as well as to provide everyone she sees with truly individualized care. She’s looking forward to getting reacquainted with her previous patients. Outside the office, Kathy enjoys traveling with her husband, especially on road trips. She cherishes family time and watching her two grandchildren play basketball, baseball, and softball. Kathy has a special love for baking, which includes decorating birthday cakes for her family.

Trisha – Dental Assistant
Trisha joined our team in the spring of 2024 and had an immediate positive impact on our office. Originally from Plover, Wisconsin, she went on to attend college after graduating from high school and later entered the dental field. What led her to this profession is the fact that her best friend’s father was a dentist; while her friend was working in his office, Trisha was invited to work there too. When it comes to her approach to dental care and good oral health, she is always encouraging patients to brush and floss the teeth they want to keep. In addition to her experience and skill with assisting, she brings to our team a very positive manner and willingness to help our team in whatever way she can. Her favorite things about working here at Mosinee Smiles are our patients and her co-workers. Outside of the office, Trisha enjoys hiking, golfing, swimming, and crafting.

Jenny – Dental Assistant
Jenny is originally from Stevens Point, Wisconsin. After graduating from Stevens Point Area High School, she completed her studies in Dental Assisting at Oconomowoc Dental School. She joined our Mosinee Smiles team in January of 2025. What led her to choose a career in the dental field was her desire to help people with their oral hygiene. She understands that good dental care must be grounded in relationships, and she is always nonjudgemental in her interactions with patients. Along with her assisting experience, she brings to our office a welcoming attitude, a willingness to help our team wherever needed, and a commitment to providing the best possible patient care through clear communication. Her favorite things about working at Mosinee Smiles are being a part of a supportive team, learning new techniques every day, and seeing the satisfaction of our patients. Outside of the office, Jenny loves spending time with friends and family, especially her two sons and daughter. Two activities that she really enjoys are hiking and camping. One interesting fact about her is that she is bilingual, speaking both English and Hmong.

Savannah – Dental & Administrative Assistant
Savannah is originally from Stratford, Wisconsin. She was drawn to the dental field after being an orthodontic patient. She loved experiencing the transformation of her smile, and she now loves to watch that same kind of transformation in our patients. When it comes to her philosophy of care, she strives to improve the quality of life and health in patients, to educate them on dental health, and to establish long-term relationships built on trust. Her versatility and preparedness for whatever situations arise are parts of what make Savannah such a great asset to our office. She’s excited to be serving the Mosinee community, and she looks forward to our continued growth. Apart from her work, Savannah enjoys hunting, fishing, and running. She also has a real fondness for coffee: her perfect and best days start and end with iced coffee.

Hailey – Administrative Assistant
Hailey is originally from the Mosinee and Lake Du Bay area. After graduating from Mosinee High School, she went on to do continuing education at Northcentral Technical College. She joined our team in the summer of 2022. What first drew her to the dental field is when she took a dental receptionist job at 17 years old and was given the opportunity to cross train as a dental assistant. She fell in love with the industry at that point and wound up joining our team in the summer of 2022. Hailey believes that everyone deserves a healthy smile and everyone deserves a second chance to get their smile back. She knows how important it is and what it means to patients. She brings to our office six years of experience in the field and a welcoming, helpful, and determined personality. She is always looking to help and educate our patients in whatever way she can. What she enjoys most about working at Mosinee Smiles is how we interact like a family, everyone lending a hand and building relationships with one another and patients. Outside of the office, Hailey loves spending time with friends and family, especially her husband, Nash, and their cat, Dyno. Her favorite activities are hiking, BMX riding, working on cars (she’s a self-professed “car girl”), camping, and gardening.
